How to Prevent Misfuelling

Every four minutes, one person faces the wrong fuel issue. Putting gasoline in a diesel car is more common than any other misfueling.

What to do after misfuelling

If you have put the wrong fuel in your car, you don't need to worry. Things are not over yet. There are several important things that you can do to save yourself from any kind of potential damage.

    • Do not start the engine of your car if you have realized that you are encountering misfueling before leaving the petrol station.

    • Put your car in the neutral position and inform any fuel-fixing service.

    • Push your car toward a safe place.

    • In case of breakdown cover, call for assistance.

    • Let the breakdown mechanic drain all the fuel from your fuel tank.

    • Refuel your fuel tank, but with the right fuel this time.

    • If you have driven some distance and realized you were misfueling, turn off the engine, place your car in a safe place, and call a misfueling service for help.
